Discover Queen Elizabeth National Park

Discover Queen Elizabeth National Park, Why do so many people love Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda? Some people say it’s the amazing range of landscapes you will see, such as grasslands, savannahs, acacia forests, wetlands, and lakes.

Some people come to see the dramatic volcanic structure, which includes dozens of deep craters and volcanic cones that rise out of the lush green hills, some of which have formed lakes.

But everyone agrees that this wide range of landscapes is the right place for many safari animals that can’t be found anywhere else in Uganda. In Queen Elizabeth Park, you can see four of the famous “Big Five” animals from Africa. The area is home to 96 different kinds of mammals, such as hippos, chimps, hyenas, leopards, elephants, and the Ugandan kob. Get ready to be amazed when you see the famous tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha area, which is in the south of the park. These lions are known to spend their lazy afternoons relaxing in the branches of fig trees.

Over 600 kinds of birds live in the park. Some of the most colorful are the African skinner, pink-back pelicans, shoebill storks, martial eagles, Papyrus canaries, and flamingos.

The two parks are part of a Lion Conservation Unit, which is an area thought to be a lion stronghold in this part of Central Africa. They are close to Virunga National Park.

There is a lot of wildlife in the park, but the beautiful scenery is also very popular. The reserve is set against the rough Rwenzori Mountains and has stunning views, such as the Kazinga Channel, a long, natural stretch of water that is home to many animals and birds, including what may be the biggest group of hippos and Nile crocodiles in the world.

To add to the variety of this unique park, visitors can also visit the nearby towns. People who come here can learn about and experience traditional events like dance, music, storytelling, and get a feel for the way of life.
