The view from the Camp Lounge over the valley is breathtaking. There are some board games and a small library. In this area, too, guests can buy crafts and gifts. Ten high-end tents are set up next to a stream, so animals that are thirsty can sometimes be seen not far from the rooms. Since the Camp is in a reserve, animals often come and go.

The Location of Kicheche Mara Camp

In the Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kicheche Mara Camp is in the Mara North Conservancy. This is the closest airport to the Camp. It’s a 45-minute flight from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to the Mara North airport. People are driven from here to the Camp, which is about 20 minutes away. It will take about five hours to drive from Nairobi.

Rooms / Tents at Kicheche Mara Camp

Ten beautifully designed, large, and fancy tents give guests a private and quiet stay in the African bush. A private porch with furniture is a great place for guests to relax and take in the view of the Olare Orok stream.

Tents can be set up as a Double, Triple, or Quad, and there is also a Family Suite with two different bedrooms, each with its own bathroom (shower, sink, and toilet). All of the rooms and the public areas have energy that comes from solar panels. If you want to spend the night in the bush, the Kicheche Mara Camp’s “Fly Camp” is a great option. You can sleep outside under the stars and get closer to nature in a unique way.
